    Dear Dr. Bones (and Dr. Bones 2),

    You’ve left a lot of marks on my body, that people stare at, usually until a kid asks me what they’re from.  But I’m proud of my scars, they hurt like hell to make- it took months to learn how to walk again, years before I could jump, run, ski, do stairs, or get in the car like a normal person.  These scars arent just proof of a change in my knee, they are physical reminders of how hard I can work, how strong I can be, and how lucky I am to be in the place I am now.

    For that, I am greatful.
